Hiking Sierra de las Nieves, to "Fuente de Malillo"

A relatively easy hike along forest roads and paths, through pastures and mountain farms, on the plateau in the new "Sierra de las Nieves" national park to the "Fuente del Huerto Malillo" fountain
Our beautiful route through the Sierra de las Nieves begins in the Conejeras Recreational Area and takes us on a part of the "Puerta Verda" of Marbella, one of the old cattle trails that connect Marbella with Ronda. Passing by ancient ruined farmhouses, sheep grazing areas, curious rock formations, up to Fuente de Huerto Malillo, a permanent spring of water for the Carbonera stream. Just below the source is the Charco de Malillo, where the Guadalevín River starts.
According to legend the Bandolero Flores Arrocha was hiding in a cave under water where it is assumed that there is an air chamber.
