La Maroma from el Robledal

It is with 2069m the highest peak in the province of Malaga, within the natural park of the Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara and Alhama, between Malaga and Granada. A demanding route, but especially beautiful in spring.
The start from the Robledal is quite gentle, giving us time to get in touch with the mountains, with beautiful views over the reservoir. We pass under pine and yew trees, whose shade is very much appreciated. Further up the path becomes rockier, from a small plateau to the peak. The views from the top are spectacular, we are close to the Sierra Nevada with its peaks of over 3000m. Before returning, we will take a well-deserved rest. There are several routes up to the Maroma, the one from the Robledal is the easiest, but still a demanding route.
