Sotogrande - Corkforest - Coastal route

This wonderful hike takes us from the beach into a cork oak forest and through scrubland and dunes, past freshwater deposits, back to the beach at Sotogrande, very close to Gibraltar
To get to the starting point of the hike, we drive through the harbour and the luxury residential area of Sotogrande. Hardly anyone would expect such a wonderful, wild coastline directly behind it. An old cork oak forest separates the coast from the residential area, we walk through the forest and between dunes, flowering scrub vegetation and freshwater lagoons, back to the beach in the direction of Gibraltar. At the end of the hike, we have the opportunity to have lunch in a chiringuito and swim in the sea.
