Circular walk - Casares from the ‘Baños de la Hedionda’ - Luke's Route

Circular hike from the ‘Baños de la Hedionda’, the historic pool at a sulphur spring, to Casares, one of the most picturesque white villages in Andalusia and back via ‘Luke's Route’
The hike begins at the ‘Baños de la Hedionda’, a sulphur spring that invites you to take a rather odorous but refreshing bath in the middle of the countryside. There are more legends than truths about its origins, from the devil to Julius Caesar, but it is highly likely that at least the pool and the dome above it, which still exist today, date back to Moorish times.
Our route continues up along a gorge characterised by karstic rock formations, past old mills in the river valley, up to the famous white village of Casares and up to the castle ruins, with a fantastic view over the coast.
We can fortify ourselves with tapas in the village square and then take a different route back. Luke's route because I found my dog Luke on this part of the route.
