Cueva de los Monos - Finca La Alcaidesa
A magnificent path where we can see one of the best cork oak groves, a pine forest and amazing rock formations with arches and caves. In rainy seasons it is a paradise for mycology enthusiasts.
This trail will take us to the Cuevas de los Monos on the border with the Pinar del Rey de San Roque, through the estate of La Alcaidesa, which we will "perimetre" in almost its entirety, an estate owned by the Junta de Andalucía of 1500 hectares of Cork and Pine Forest. With a bit of luck we can see mouflon, deer or wild boar in an ideal habitat.
The path is easy to follow, only a short part, going up and down to the "Cueva de los Monos" (the monkey cave) is a little bit more difficult, but this part is optional, who wants can take a break in the meantime. On the way back we can stop for some tapas and a drink.
